And the men rose up and took the captives, and with the spoil they clothed all who were naked among them, clothed them, gave them food and drink, anointed them ( as was a host's duty) and carried all the feeble of them upon donkeys...2 Chron 28 v.9-15

What could stop a righteous, victorious returning army? Imagine a bunch of tough guys, dirty with war, tired- all ready to divide up the rich spoil, eat and drink their fill, ridicule their naked prisoners and run riot? Just a prophet standing up and saying, "God says there is something wrong with this picture. Your prisoners are your defeated brothers and sisters, and their little ones. Do this and the God who gave you the victory will consider you guilty of crimes against Him!

Then the next ones that spoke for God against the returning army were the Chiefs and Leaders of the Tribes. "You're not bringing our defeated family members in here like prisoners." Our Bible verse today says that these same leaders rose up, clothed the naked relatives, fed them, anointed them, nursed them and took them back to their houses.

Righteousness is prevailing in the wars some of us have had to fight against unrighteousness in our families. But when God gives the Victory ( and we are seeing it happen in this hour), be ready to run to them and pour in the oil and the wine. The Lord will not allow us to parade our defeated family members like the usual prisoners of war. When the outlaws are our "in-laws", reconciliation is our post-war remedy. Forgiveness embraces them to our bosom as God lifts them from the pit to the palace.

Father, Give me courage to love my defeated sister and to lift her up beside me!

She is like the merchant ships loaded with foodstuffs; she brings her household's food from a far country. Prov. 31v.14

A friend's husband and mother-in-law broke down on the road near the end of a long car trip to a family reunion. My friend, who had stayed home, spoke with her husband as he waited for a tow truck. She was dismayed they had no water, no baggies full of raisins or nuts, no energy bars or pieces of fruit washed and cut. I would have brought snacks, she said! She is a carrier.

Another dear buddy also carries. When she comes there is always a little gift bag with homemade cake or cookies for my mom. When she calls on the phone, she carries, too. There is always a prayer that she brings from the far country of heaven for whatever need we may have.

Heaven is the far country that supplies the provision the Prov. 31 woman carries to her family and to the world. Whether the goods needed are food or mercy or healing, she knows where to go to get it and how to successfully release it to the one who is lacking.

Father: Give us this day our daily bread. Multiply it, so we'll carry it & give it away!

Day after day pours forth speech, night after night shows forth knowledge. Ps. 19 v.2

Some hot Sunday afternoons saw me starched, petticoated, pinafored and dragged to "This Is Your Life" church programs for my mom's older friends, a Mrs. Mabelle Knuell or sweet Aunt Mamie. Relatives from out-of town, parades of friends bringing tributes, plaques, flowers and wonderful homemade desserts that I somehow remember better than anything else!

Day after day is talking your history. It is revealing or unfolding your story like a scroll being unrolled. 2010, a culmination year, is nearing the crowning or harvest time God has set in every year. (Ps.65 v.11) A decade is open before you. Review, take stock and make the determinations and decrees to get your life in agreement with God's order. Capture the best of this moment in time so it won't slip through your "busy, distracted fingers." (Some battles are merely a distraction. Send your authority to "melt" them, so your mind won't muddle & meddle in that minor nonsense.) Seize the day so that "day after day" will serve Kingdom purposes in your life history.

I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me. Rom. 10 v.20;  He who has my commandments and keeps them; he it is who loves Me. I will love him and will show (reveal, manifest) Myself to him. John 14 v.21

When God shows up, everything changes and everybody knows it. The seasoned veterans know it, and even those who have no relationship with the Lord recognize His arrival. Recently a leader laid out some rules of ministry conduct and admonished, "Please don't say "Thus saith the Lord."  Hey, when God manifests Himself, the heathen will cry out, "That is God!"

One key I have found to God manifesting Himself more is a greater awareness of His Presence on my part. Busyness, distractions, thinking my prayers/confession instead of opening my mouth- all these bad habits keep my awareness of His Presence feeble. The more you think about the Lord, the more you speak to and about Him, the more expectation and faith you''ll have for His response.

Father, Manifest Yourself to me all throughout this day!

For it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you, energizing...Phil 2v.13

During a local Christian TV taping, I was asked where I got my energy. Surprised by the question, I said through prayer and the people I love. But after reflection, I have a better answer that I want to share with you today. Energy comes from God. He is the Quickener. Now I know about eating right, exercising and even energetic fires sparked when "iron sharpens iron" from our friends. Those are good things, but the Bible defines the operations or workings of God  as "energaia," the Greek word for "energy" in 1 Cor. 12.  So we never feel as alive or energetic as when we are being used by Him. It is the energaia or energy of God at work in us- energizing and creating in you the power and the desire both to will and to work for His Good pleasure. Phil. 2v.13

Father, This week energize everyone reading these words. (Beam them up, Scotty)  The work of Your energy in them is perfect and it quickens them now!

I love you!

Prophetic P.S. This is the halfway mark of the year- Where are you? Measure, take stock, check the distance from here to the Promises for this year. Pursue, overtake and recover all of them!

Always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ ... Eph.5v.19

Have you thanked Jesus today? There are moments that I appoint as a "Thank-You, Jesus" time and all I do is say "Thank-you, Jesus" for fifteen minutes or so. The more I thank Him, the more I want to thank Him. My gratitude increases and my awareness of the Lord's nearness increases. I feel happier after I thank Jesus for an extended period of time. I do it in the car during an extended commute.

The more opportunities we take to to make our Kingdom life dominant and to become more Kingdom-minded, the more we'll rule and reign in life. Taking those opportunities will mean pulling the plug on radio, TV, empty phone calls that eat up time, e-mails (like this one!) and sometimes even worship music. My "thank-you, Jesus" times can lead me into prayer or into worship or just give me a sweet, micro-Hawaiian vacation with the Creator of the Universe, My Father.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Phil. 4v.6

Cause me to meet with good success today...Gen. 24v.12 all that he (Solomon) planned...he accomplished successfully... 2 Chron. 7v.11

From our Bible readings we can see that success is in the power of Our Great God - The Finisher - to grant and to give. Success is clearly part of His domain and therefore, our birthright as His children.  At this present season on earth the "successful finish" is even more vitally important and essential as we daily, diligently, dutifully, daringly carry out the purposes of God in all we have to do on any given day.

What can we learn from Eliezer, the ruler or chief of millionaire Abraham's vast holdings and from the smartest king on the block, Solomon?

  1. Ask for success- Both examples show that both men had planned and worked in the natural, but they asked God for His supernatural successful finish.

   2. Move out on the answer- Solomon's successful accomplishments came immediately after the awesome, intense dedicatory prayers for the temple. He didn't wait for another cloud to come and "pouf" the work, he heard and he put sweat equity to the "heard Word." Eliezer ran to meet the girl who appeared as he was praying and asking God to give him success in finding a wife for Abraham's son.

So, asking in faith, not wavering -(it says in James) and the faith to move when God does answer will cause you to meet with success today. Finish strong!

Love & blessings on your day,

Lee Andrews

Great it is to stand and dream when you stand in youth by the starry stream; but a greater thing is to fight life through; and say at the end- The dream is true!

Before we moved, I dreamt of ministering to my mom and not just caring for her daily needs. I "stood in youth by the starry stream" dreaming of us sitting on the front porch reading the Bible, singing hymns, sipping peppermint tea- why maybe I'd learn to play the autoharp for her! The fight of our new life was almost greater than my dream. There were ants, boxes to unpack, meds to crush, grass to water, boxes to unpack, chores galore. I'd fall into my pallet on the floor too exhausted to even dream at all.

But yesterday my plans for the day faltered and while I was about to get a grumble on, I realized the Greater Thing was being given to the two of us. I found a little book from Mom's old Women of Power Sunday School Class and I began to read aloud to her the "senior comfort scriptures." The Word washed over us- like a dream come true! Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. John 15v.13

Father, Help us to lay down our lives in love today!

And Solomon, the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom...2Chron. 1v.1

Today for you I have this to pray: That you will be strengthened in your kingdomFather, I thank you for the part of this earth you have assigned and entrusted to my friend reading this. I speak new strength over every responsibility they carry - strength to flourish and strength to finish the job well. I decree strength to rest - and as Ps. 16 says, -  strength for their flesh to rest in hope. Strength for fresh expectation today!

(I sense there are things God wants to "add" to you; and you have been too busy darting about here and there to receive this addition to your spirit and your life. For some it may be a personality change that will be more fitting for your new, strong, victorious life.)

I love you!

If there be any virtue...think on these things. Phil. 4v.8

The Amplified Bible puts it this way: Fix your mind on these things- think on, weigh and take account of whatever is true, honest, just, pure, lovely and of good report. Whatever we think about is magnified and made more of. Who can agree we need more of these virtues in the earth? As we think on them and speak of them, the atmosphere will be changed and altered by our words and declarations.

Colossians 3 v.2 exhorts to rule with our minds by setting them on the things above where Christ sits (in rulership) at the right hand of God. When we deliberately chose to fix and focus our thoughts and (not to allow our thoughts to fix and focus us!) - we are sitting with Him in rulership. That rulership is not only over the battlefield of our minds, but also over our world as we say what God says about it. The Love we need for this rulership is tied to our meditation on the true, honest, just, pure and lovely. How else can we "believeth all things, hopeth all things and endureth all things"? The Love List of 1 Co.r 13 is tied to the Mind List of Phil 4v.8!

Like my Father I say: Let there be virtue in my world today!

And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender & the house that is to be builded for the Lord must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and glory throughout all countries; I will therefore now make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death. I Chron. 22v.5

"Now" is the most faith-filled word from today's scripture. Most of us believe God wants to use us for great things. A good number of us would agree that preparation is needed for Him to use us to build something "exceeding magnifical", glorious and world-famous for the Kingdom. But who is preparing? Who has faith to believe our daily lives, choices, thoughts and words are building, building, building a testimony and a temple that can be seen from far away.

I spent the morning on the phone hearing and bearing witness to a new ministry's victories, projects and plans. The minister boasted of His Excellencies and there was a magnification of His Glory through the testimonies shared. Through that long conversation, the Lord brought to mind how you and I can help prepare others for greatness as we give time now, counsel now or a cheer now for a job well-done.

I put the "now" in there because I didn't do it "now."  My leading to call this person the day before got buried under other chores and duties. Sometimes our prayers must do the work of  preparing others until we have time to interface. But our help to prepare them for greatness is always more anointed when we obey the timing of the Spirit's prompting.

Father, I want to help prepare Your people for greatness!

He hath made everything beautiful in its time. Ecc. 3v.11; I will restore to you the years the locust hath eaten...Joel 4.25

Last night as I looked at the white finish and crown molding on some custom work at our new place, God "pulled the curtains back" on the scene before my eyes: I have restored London to you, He said. It was so intensely private that I rushed to my room and wrote it in code in my journal, but I now the Holy Spirit has me blogging it!

All my longing and yearning for a home of my own in London, a year rent-free in a very old, exquisite place on the river, years of sharing flats & house-sitting, and now,  over twenty years later, God had not forgotten. He remembered even the details that the Holy Spirit had helped me to forget - along with the past's pain - . But the tears that came to my eyes were not about London, but about God's goodness to make all things beautiful in His time.

Oh Father, Make it beautiful for each one reading this today!

For godly sorrow worketh repentance...2 Cor. 7v.10 (KJV); For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation; but the sorrow of the world produces death. NAS

I have repented more in the past few years than I ever remember doing in my whole Christian life. There was certainly more sin for me to repent about in my life years past! But these days I find that God is keeping shorter and shorter accounts with our hearts in this hour. Why- Because He could come at any minute and unconfessed sin would send me to hell. Also, even if He is not coming today, the sin that so easily entangles will keep me from walking in His Light here on earth.

Godly sorrow is good for us. I remember hearing Lisa Comes talk about training her small children to be sorry for their sins. "I want them to be sorry," she said with a fiercely loving, righteous voice!  There was a leftover, worldly bristle in my soul when she said it. I thought of little, sad faces with big, crocodile tears.  Now I know better!

Repentance without regret takes us somewhere- it leads us to the Shepherd's green pastures and still waters. There is no deliverance without repentance, and deliverance is often the key to the physical healing we need. The world is not a healthy place for Life and we will require more daily, continual applications of Kingdom Life while we're finishing up the job on earth.

Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand to heal, deliver and refresh you!

I love you!

...Who worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator...Rom. 1v.25

At a key breakthrough time, David appointed (named and positioned) people to do some things. He appointed certain of the Levites ( the priestly class) to "minister before the ark of the Lord and to record and to thank and praise the Lord God of Israel." I Chron. 16v.4.

Creativity is a great heavenly force that the Church has not successfully wrestled from the hands of the World. But God is painting His forerunners with fresh creativity to make Himself "oh-so-real-you-can-touch-Him" in this last harvest hour. Glory and honor are in His Presence; strength and gladness are in His place are the words of the psalm David recorded in writing and handed to the men he had appointed to lead worship.

Just reading the words of that psalm aloud makes the creative part in you and me jump and stir. But so often in my life a thousand things come in and choke out the creative surge. Let me wash another load of clothes, call Susie, do this good thing or that one- and boom! The moment is gone. I am talking about myself, not you. But when I decline an opportunity to let the surge of creativity find expression in me, I am (ouch!) worshipping the creature. I am allowing His busyness to run the show and drain that priceless, divine part out of me!

Father, I know the world needs what You put inside me. Help me get the Word, get the song out, get the cooking gift out, get the painting out for all to see Jesus!

But when it pleased God...who called me by His Grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood...but I went into Arabia... Gal. 1v.16

I love talking things out and talking revelation out with my friends. My friends are wonderful! But our Bible reading today is talking about a solitary place - our Destiny Incubator-. The only hands that can reach inside and the only One that can take our tiny, infant dream out of the incubator to embrace it, is God alone. His grace alone has called you to the great purpose He has for your life.

Paul writes in Galatians that he did not immediately run to Famous Church Central for affirmation or counsel. He didn't try to get on national TBN to give his testimony of deliverance from being a famous church-beater!  For three years He stayed hidden in the desert in the Presence of the One who called him. He waited on the Lord. In I Chronicles 13 v. 1, David consulted and conferred with his military leaders about bringing back the Ark of Covenant. All his leaders and even all the people said, "Do it." Well, flesh and blood guided David wrong. A man died and David's relationship with the Lord suffered a breach. It is better to let some things stay in the Incubator until He calls a conference about it!

Father: I want to come to the conference You're having just with me today. Draw me away by myself to a solitary place with You even just on my lunch-hour or as I drive home. My Maker!

Command that in Your kingdom these two sons of mine may sit, one on Your right and one on Your left. Matt.20 v.21

I love the mother of the sons of Zebedee. (What was her name?) She had the boldness to ask the same thing that was probably in the heart of the mothers of the other disciples! She also had faith to recognize that the best part of a life with Jesus is not the earth part she could see, but the unseen, eternal part. She wanted a stake in the eternal- she wanted a legacy.

Jesus' response to her request came in several parts. One to her. One to the other ten disciples who were (jealous) & ticked off with Zebedee's sons! This morning I want to focus on how Jesus redirected that mom's request to the heart of His mission on earth.

The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life a ransom for many. v.28

This woman did come to Jesus bowing down in worship and her request certainly had great faith in it, but somehow she had missed the mark concerning her family's purpose and the Lord's purpose. The rulership and authority she wanted for her sons are part of what the Bible promises every believer, but the purpose of it all is for sacrificial service. She sought rewards; Jesus asked for them to become "ransoms."

Father: Give me a servant's heart! Be great on the inside of me, Oh Jesus.

For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. Ps. 5 v.12

The shields in Bible times were as big as doors. You could crouch, sit, be completely hidden and covered behind one of them. Your confident trust in God's favor will enable you to be "seated in the heavenly place" behind the big door of God's favor while a war is going on. Your faith, in other words, in His lavish grace and favor, will help you hold your position while the Lord of Hosts advances your cause. My Bible reading that triggered this word may surprise you. (At least it surprised me!) It was not a cakewalk Bible story, but a pretty tough tale.

I was reading from Acts 24 to Acts 25 of the Jews' schemes, accusations  and attempts to murder Paul. Repeatedly the King James says they "desired favor against Paul" but the rulers ( who were of higher and higher rank as the story progresses) would refuse. From Felix to Festus to King Agrippa, God kept Paul behind the big door of His favor, but He also raised the platform of the plot against his servant from local to national to international. The plot thickened. God's glory increased as His purpose prevailed. The Big Door of Favor held for Paul throughout.

Are you in trouble? Are unjust schemes threatening your business? Heaven's special forces, angels for this hour in the Earth, are being dispatched by God's Word in His mouth and in your mouth. Keep talking while you are sitting down behind the Big Door of His favor. The devil hates for us to talk about God because he knows the power of the Word of Truth.

Father: Surround me with Your favor like a shield today! Love me tight!

God reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. II Cor. 5v.18;  For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. Rom.5 v.10

A dynasty is a succession of rulers born in the same family. Family Dynasty is the righteous family's rulership born out of their relationship to God. John 1v.13 lays out the Divine DNA pretty clearly: born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Your assignment, whether you are a Mom or a sister or bereft of family, is to make kings. The Jews in the Prophet Samuel's day took a look at his lousy natural sons and said, "Make us a king. Your kids are a mess."  Great and awesome Samuel, like Eli, his predecessor, failed in his assignment to make kings in his own family.

Dynastic ambition is a holy desire, but it must start at the Cross. Reconciling your family to God and to each other. Reconcile means to re-establish. Just as natural dynasties establish and build earthly kingdoms, spiritual dynasties build God's kingdom in the earth.  Holy and great families are the bedrock at the foundation of our society and of the Kingdom of God.

I invite you to join me this Saturday at a Bible Study on Dynasty: A Succession of Rulers in the Same Family:YOURS! HBU's Mabee Theatre, 7502 Fondren, Houston, TX 77074 at 10:00am.

Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Thine inheritance. Ps.2.v.8; Ask in faith, without doubting. James 1v.6; Ask and keep on asking... Luke 11v.9

Sunday at church God moved on me to give this word: This morning there is an anointing to ask. What I couldn't say then but I can share now is how the Lord impressed me that the warfare of the hour has made His people refrain from asking with expectation. Where is our child-like faith that runs in to Daddy, asks big, then runs out laughing  and knowing "it" is coming?

The battle-weary can sound like Elijah in the cave- I've been fighting so long. It is all me in this war for God. Poor God needs me so badly and I am so tired. We stop treating Him like My Daddy God when He becomes Our Cause! Some of our long, hard-fought battles are threatening to change our personalities! We have a sunny disposition. We are the happy people of God! We love to ask Him like His Little Girl even when we are strategizing the demolishing neighborhood strongholds or on-the-job "hell holes"!

Take hold of instruction; do not let go. Guard her, for she is your life. Prov. 4.13; Please receive instruction from His mouth, and establish His words in your heart. Job 22v.22

Here in our new place I haven't used my new washing machine because I haven't had time to read the instructions. I couldn't use the new dishwasher because I haven't read the instructions. I tried the disposal just a little since I haven't had time to look for the instructions. So I am still living in Egypt right here in the Promised Land. Please forgive me  and please do better than I did this first week.

There is new knowledge needed for the new. There would even be a  new fragrance of the knowledge of Christ if I would push to read the instructions. The Bible tells us so! Take hold; don't let go. It is your life: Guard your knowledge of Truth. The Lord wants to establish you for enlargement and growth requires even more knowledge.  My prayer is for you to pursue it today!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. Prov.3v.5

We hear talk of "breaches of trust" as public figures falter and fail, but today "The Reach of Trust" is resounding in my ears. Trusting in God will s-t-r-e-t-c-h our reach to the unreached in Jerusalem (our home), at Judea ( our workplace), in Samaria (bordering nations) and to the uttermost ( the whole world).

Trust is the pavement for the pathway to miracles. Whether you're up with a feverish child in the middle of the night or overhearing an anxious, desperate conversation in the next cubicle at work, trust God to back you up as you take out your Superman suit and move as He moves you. The fear of rejection and the fear of failure are trumped by Love. Yes, use wisdom, but don't hold back when the Holy Ghost says to you, "Go up and join that chariot" as He said to Philip in Acts 8v.29!

Our ragged-edged society schools us to be extra cautious about approaching strangers or even fellow co-workers or church-goers that we don't know. I remember when a woman suddenly fainted in the parking lot after a mid-week service at Lakewood. We stood around her and prayed as someone ran to get a security guard. But one man went close and shook her gently on the arm. She woke up and was able to give him info to help her.

Trust God to use you to wake someone up to Him. Father, I trust you to reach someone today with Your Love and Your power.

And Lot also, which went with Abraham, had flocks and herds and tents. And the land was not able to bear them, for their substance was great...And Abraham said,
"Lot, separate thyself, I pray thee, from me." Genesis 13v.5; ...forgetting what lies behind, straining for what lies ahead. Phil.3v.13
You can't take it with you. "It" means your (unfruitful) way of thinking, your old " it ain't working" way of working.         As always with God, you must obey the first step (separate, leave the baggage, drop it,) before the land under your foot's path for the 2nd step appears.
And the Lord said unto to Abraham AFTER that Lot was separated from him:

When God's choice is  fully honored, - as Mordecai was - God's reward is FULLY given! God gave the people of the nation light ( a new dawn of hope) and gladness and joy and honor. The enemies of the Kingdom were destroyed. Esther 8v.16 Victory is indeed sweet!
....And the king said to Haman/Hillary, what shall be done to the man whom the king delights to honor?...Haman answered... Let royal apparel be brought which the king has worn (NOTE: THE ANOINTING)
And the horse which the king has ridden
(NOTE: same as David's instructions for Solomon's inaugurations for David's mule to be ridden) and a royal crown be set upon his head.
Let the apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king's most noble princes. Let him array the man (NOTE: divine order- Mordecai was not putting king's robe on himself- but nobility and established order robing him) whom the king delights to honor and conduct him on horseback through the open square of the city (NOTE: We need to pray for the city- the sea of people to OPEN to Trump and not resist him whom Our king has appointed.)Esther 6v.6-9
The King's instructions in Esther 6v.10
Do so to Mordecai the Jew (Make it happen).
Leave out nothing that you have spoken. (Don't mess this up.)
We need a full Mordecai inauguration. Esther (the church) has prevailed before the King.We won. We Arise, We Shine for Our light has come!
