He scattereth his bright cloud & it is turned around by his counsels...Job 37v.12

As August ends, even Texas is thinking about the turning of the leaves. Sweating while we think about it nonetheless! God has moved on our behalf and many are seeing things finally change that have been prayed and cried over. Our scripture today points to nature's swift obedience to God's Word of Counsel. Clouds turn around at the direction of His wisdom- do we? I don't -always. I want to turn, turn, turn at the Word of His counsel as it comes through the reading of His Word, hearing a sermon, or recognizing His shepherd's voice in wisdom from another person.

Father, Make all our faith muscles, all our hope and great expectation muscles respond to Your lightest touch or tug today. Lead me. I turn.

...And he who does not gather with Me, scatters. Luke 11v.23

Yesterday my Pastor used this scripture to speak a holy warning to those who leave churches and try to take others with them. Sheep-scatters may find themselves, as Jesus said so powerfully, working against God and His kingdom. There is a strong gathering anointing at work in the day in which we live. This is Harvest Time and there are multitudes in the Valley Decision. The Lord of the Harvest has unleashed His Golden Gathering Lasso.

What does that mean for believers? Get in place and stay there for protection, for prosperity and for purpose fulfilled. What God has put together, let no man put asunder. Let no offense, let no hindrance, let no rejection scatter you from the place He has gathered you to. The scattering scatters the spirit, the mind, the will, the emotions and the lives of those scurry away from their destiny-place to follow other scampering sheep. Revival is coming and God is preparing you and me to be used in ways beyond our dreams. Who is on the Lord's side? Take your place.

Father, Open my eyes of faith to see the place you have prepared for me in my church!

Blessings on this week for you,

Lee Andrews

Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will protect him & keep him alive. The Lord will sustain, refresh, & strengthen him on his bed of languishing; all his bed You (O Lord) will turn, change, & transform in his illness. Ps. 41v. 1-3 (KJV/AMP)

I remember countless Saturday mornings going as a little girl with my mother to the homes of the elderly to cook, clean, or bring food. There was Mr. Big Biscuit, whose wife, Little Biscuit, had died, leaving him alone in their huge, old house and unable to walk much. I was too scared to go past the long, front hallway- scared both of the living Big Biscuit who wore his hat indoors and smelled of cigars and scared of the Mrs. Little Biscuit. (Did she die here, Mommy?)

Then there was Mrs. Sallie who lived in one room with her deceased daughter's favorite dress pinned on the wall. She had no other family. Mom also took me with her to help Mrs. Stone and Mamma Georgie who still lived in maid's quarters in two rich neighbourhoods. Both were church ladies of great age, sick and alone. I wasn't much help. Mom said she worked faster without having to come save me from a big, bad roach or a mouse as I dusted or emptied the garbage.

Today as I care for my mother, we have a Promise. And so do you!

When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up...Job 22v.29

The simple gift of prophecy ( so simple you can say it to the pharmacist or say it to the mailman) is defined as edification, exhortation and comfort. It lifts men and women to their feet. More and more people are cast down today, and the sure remedy is more of Jesus - Our Glory and the Lifter of our heads.

Father of Mercies, God of Comfort: Give everyone reading this the words that lift today!

The house of Stephanas, that is the firstfruits of Achaia, they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints. I Cor.16v.15

An unshakable habit of serving the people of God. You didn't have to talk the Stephanas's into it. They didn't call at the last minute with a schedule change, or a crisis- no, they just always showed up. When saints knocked on their doors, they welcomed them with a smile. Late-night phone call- The Stephanas gave a sleepy word-in-season to the weary one.

Where "passion" led them, "habit" held them in place. We also read in verse 17, that Stephanas also led in financial giving. Giving financially helps keep your service habit "hot." Some people stop giving when they are serving regularly. My time is worth something!. Yes, it is worth a lot, but withholding your offering is a way of making God pay you up front for your labor. If you insist on that payment plan, that is all you are going to get! Your heart is less engaged when your pocketbook is out of the equation and that brings lack of zeal. Our worthless works will burn up in the fire.  But here we are today reading of countless, faithful, little & big things that a family did in service over 2,000 years ago! And there is an enduring anointing on their testimony - receive it now!

Father, Find me faithful!

For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but to God; for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. I Cor. 14v.2

My mother's speaking mystery has been her lack of words when awake, but her talking up a storm in her sleep. She has intense, rapid-fire conversations where she gives orders -"Go up there and get the other one out. Bring them down with those bags..."   It is mysterious to me.  She can also still speak in her heavenly language, but really all her language is requiring a heavenly-minded interpreter.

I Co.r 4 calls you a steward of the mysteries of God. It is part of your job and "faithfulness" is in your job description. The unknown is part of our daily lives as spiritual creatures. You are not just a wife, a mom or a bathroom-floor cleaner, a taxi driver, or a yard woman- You are a steward of the mysteries of God. I speak them, I think about them. Speaking in tongues should be almost a constant flow- softly under our breath, a little louder in the car. Turn off the radio. Put down the cell phone. Sing in the Spirit. Plug into heaven.

Which doeth great things past finding out: yea, & wonders without number. Job 9v.10

Secrets and mysteries revealed is what I am sensing this week is about. The Holy Ghost's task is to disclose the hidden and the unknown to us. He enlarges our understanding. If you're like me, I get so busy with warfare prayer and maintaining, I lose my time of sitting with the Creator of the Universe and reaching into the unknown.

Father, take me higher and deeper into Your heart this week. Flood the eyes of my heart with light. Show me the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden in Christ.

Blessings on your week,

Truth unveiled to you!

You have been most painstakingly and reverently concerned for us...II Kings 4v.13

Today we read of the Shunnamite woman's care for Minister Elisha being described as both painstaking and reverent. Painstaking means careful, going to a lot of trouble. How wonderful that the leader she had the privilege of caring for noticed that she had gone to a lot of trouble. They don't always see it, appreciate or comment about it. We should not require a  reward from the leaders we serve. Remember how this assignment of service began- with the Shunammite's words: I perceive that this is a holy man of God who passes by continually. God opened her eyes and opened her heart. And opened her hand: Let us make a small chamber for him... The business is being transacted between God and the servant extending care. The Lord will repay. Our leader receives.

Reverent  was the other word Minister Elisha used to describe the care he had received from this woman. She didn't come in and sit on his bed and talk his head off. Service does not buy you access. That only comes as gift the leader could choose to bestow. This woman had been so respectful and reverent that Elisha didn't even know what she needed that he could bless her with! Reverent means deep respect together with awe and affection. Usually when we mix an assignment's requirement of taking much trouble with the requirement of deep respect, something gets lost in the mix. Resentment about all that hard work and attentiveness to the leader's desires sneaks in. Or maybe Gehazi starts getting on our nerves. Taking care of leaders is holy, supernatural work. It takes the best out of us and gives us the best possible benefit - the Lord's reward!

With love sent to you today,

For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise for the Jews from another place...Est.4 v.14

Enlargement ? Does this Bible passage actually say "Enlargement & deliverance"? As many times as I have read this passage, only this morning did I see the "enlargement" in it. Facing extermination and holocaust, wouldn't the Jews under Haman's threat have been satisfied with just deliverance? Would you have had had faith to increase, to expand, to broaden and to be magnified when you were cornered and under the threat of death? How great is our God!

The entire, famous exchange between Mordecai and Esther is supernatural and prophetically-inspired. In sackcloth, Mordecai prophesies the enlargement for his race BEFORE deliverance. Expansion and dominion are greater than deliverance. They are are the fruit or out-cropping of true deliverance. He also prophesies enlargement AGAINST Esther- should she decline to step up to the plate. But what I noticed this morning that is calling to my situation, is that the first action after this prophetically- pronounced enlargement and deliverance is a fast. No sword battles or ambushes for this deliverance. Just my will turning and shutting myself in with God. Enlargement comes in the inner room of my prayer closet and it is seen in the outer world.

Father, Could it be that I have come to the Kingdom for such a prayer time as this, for such a shut-in time with You as this?

The King made a feast...when he shewed the riches of his glorious kingdom and the honour of his excellent majesty many days...he commanded Mehuman, bring Vashti the queen...but queen Vashti refused to come...Esther 1 v.1-12; You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood ,a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. 1 Peter 2v.9

This is the hour of sparkling, fresh displays. A visual generation needs to see God highlight, elevate and spotlight the Big Him on the inside of little-old you! Don't refuse to come! Don't be embarrassed by the riches or the glory- really it is all His! His marvelous plan is working restoration for His people and making HImself visible to a lost and dying generation. You are blessed to be a blessing and like our rich forefather, Abraham.

What is the problem? Why are some of us like Vashti- uncomfortable about standing on the podium? God is dealing with inner healing issues that prevent us from enjoying the rich blessing and make us want to hide. Rejection, reproach or feeling like a victim paralyze our response to God's command to come be on display. Paralysis (or inhibition) stops your freedom to express God in the big, new, displayed arena. It also stops destiny. Your destiny and the destiny of all those who would have watched you shine and seen Jesus! Get over it and get on up there, girl!

I love you and I see you shining!

Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me." Luke 10 v.40

Martha was the oldest. And in a family that knew the Lord, she had certainly known Jesus the longest. Why she had probably taught her baby sister about Jesus! In spite of her higher rank, responsibility and wisdom, Martha's maneuvering in this little jewel of a story caught my eye.

Martha is mirroring our praying to Jesus to get people to do what we want them to do. She did not address her sister directly. This was not primarily because she wanted to implicate the Lord in the mess. (Though there is clearly a little bit of "It is really His fault that this is problem is going on.") No, here there is more of a religious spirit operating by Martha's "taking it to the Lord in prayer." Praying against someone when you are in the wrong spirit won't do you much good. Her words to Jesus sound like the victim's prayer of accusation. But the truth of the matter is no one had a problem with the situation but Martha. Jesus was happy. Mary was blissful at His feet.

Father, Let me see myself as I am; change me and make me like You.

I love you!

Or do you think lighty of the riches of His kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing the kindness of God leads you to repentance? Rom. 2v.4

This morning I was trying to call my Pastor to say "sorry" about something I had said in church but I was interrupted by someone calling me to say sorry for something else. Sunday evening yet another person had phoned with a "sorry."  Be quick to repent and keep short accounts with God are counsel I remembering hearing from the teaching of Pastor John Osteen and Kenneth Hagin.

Honestly I couldn't remember the "issue" the two people phoned me to apologize about. It was non-existent as far as I was concerned, but I appreciated their heart for living in peace with a clear conscience. Our pride can handle the bending exercise humility performs. I had a similar all-clear with my Pastor and I felt so much better. Even on my brand-new luxury bed, I had not slept all that well last night.

Did we offend or did we imagine it? We can certainly tell God in our hearts we are sorry. But in this day of God's army rising up together, the corporate fabric of our spiritual lives is vitally important. Saying "sorry" ( even when you might not just have to) is a bridge to peace.

Father, Lead me to build this bridge of peace today. I extend myself to my fellow brothers and sisters. Cut off misunderstandings at the pass and make every crooked thing between us straight and true!

So the wall was finished...when all our enemies heard thereof, they were much cast down...for they perceived that this work was wrought of our God. Neh. 6v.16

When you finish, the devil will know that what you did was born of God. Whatever is born of God overcomes the world of procrastination, delay, hopelessness, hassles and hurdles 1-2-3. Manifestation and completion publish and trumpet the truth about God. He Can do it and He did it again!

Father, Help everyone reading this to finish whatever it is they are working on; a letter, a project, the building, the treatments. Give them strength for a strong finish and for focus. I bind the spirit of fear and I thank you for shutting the mouths of the lions speaking against them.

Do not be afraid of the enemy, (earnestly) remember the Lord and imprint Him on your minds, great and terrible, & (take from Him courage to) fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives & your homes. Neh.4.14 AMP

Many people I know are in the fighter-family mode, especially during the past two weeks. This verse from Nehemiah speaks of our fight FOR our families. That battle is an on-going one. These are the people we were born to rescue. (And they were born to rescue us- whether it is with their smile as a baby or as a strong-armed adult child lifting an elderly parent.) But the family as a fighting unit is really what I feel should be highlighted today. Read verse 13.  Read about families set as fighting units with "swords, spears and bows."

God has a plan and a place of victory for your fighter-families. Maybe you aren't even speaking to each other right now, let alone fighting the enemy together. But begin to see the Ponderosa line-up with your family astride those horses. All this warfare requires a leader. That may be the other part of the problem: they don't want you to lead them. Lead them anyway. Lead in prayer until the whole entire team strides on to the field - arrayed for battle!

Father, I won't let my family go until You bless them to grab tight-hold of You! I am praying for my family today, Jesus!

Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name...Who redeemeth thy life from destruction...Ps. 103 v.1 &4

Bless the Lord! He went to the Cross to ransom our lives from hell, paying the price of our freedom from eternal destruction with His life and with His Blood. While that great sacrifice was done once and for all, (aren't you glad that the deal is sealed?), daily, today and each day Christ redeems our life from the destruction of meaninglessness.

That is the thought for today. A price has been paid to redeem my life from the meaninglessness of my little red van tooling around on Hwy 6 in 100 degree weather getting the copies made, going to the bank - two praying women inside. What if this was all there is to life? You at Walmart buying back-to-school clothes?

Praise God that our Savior has put rich meaning (meat in the sauce!) and purpose into our daily lives. He sits on the edge of His throne ready to intervene, mingling the benefit of His Blood with my shopping reward miles or whatever other earthly marketing scheme I am trying to benefit from - or just trying to find in the bottom of my purse! And somewhere, always there, He appears as I talk to the barista at the Coffee Shop who dreams of writing and needs The Writer of the Universe!

Father, Thank-you for paying for purpose for my life today!

I love you, Jesus!

Now therefore make confession unto the Lord God of your fathers, and do His pleasure; and separate yourselves from the people of the land... Ezra 10v.11

August is also "separation" time. Harvest is a picture of judgement- where the rich fruit of the wheat is separated from the inedible chaff. So separation is also a part of harvest. This is not always easy or pleasant.  Are there friendships you need to let go of or habits dogging your day or even clothes and furniture that is it time to decide to get rid of?  Proverbs exhorts us like this: Don't withhold what is good when it is in your power to give it!  Meaning your stubborn refusal to move the stuff out or move wrong the people out is a Blessing-Blocker! Maybe you can't see the blessing of separation from here, but just obey and watch what is coming on the horizon!

Father: Help me to decide to separate the wheat from the chaff today!

(Thou) hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy:thou hast set my feet in a large room Ps. 31v.8...; The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord...Prov. 21.v.1

Can you see the connection between favor and expansion in our scripture reading for today? God wants to break His people out from the shut-in place the devil has many of them. He desires to set our feet in the large room- the corner office of His harvest and of promotion in the Spirit. The king is not our problem. The human gatekeeper blocking that job interview or the tax exemption or the loan approval is not the final authority.

One of my favorite scriptures for re-sizing my mind about God's powerful desire to favor me actually speaks to us through His plan for the nations. I want to share it with you:  For the Lord of Hosts has planned, and who can frustrate it? And as for His stretched-out hand, who can turn it back? Isa. 14v.27

Instead of just fighting to maintain or pulling back, let us use this week to get a vision of expansion in our hearts. So whether you find yourself in the cave, or on the mountain-top or crossing fast-moving streams, you'll begin to see the large room of breakthrough just ahead.

Then Eli perceived that the Lord was calling the boy. 1 Sam. 3v.8

Desire and expectation for more of God's supernatural intervention in the world we live in will require a sharpening of our perception of the supernatural. Do we know when it is present?  Even the smallest supernatural incursion in a service, in a grocery store encounter, in the car driving the kids to school will get bigger simply by our noticing it. By it God is drawing our attention- like Moses and the Burning Bush- to see something He sees, but we don't.

Pride is often the greatest obstacle to our perception of the supernatural. Either the setting is so unlikely- e.g. a Bethlehem manger, or the messenger so beneath us (who but Jesus knew that a loose woman with 5 husbands had been thinking about the coming of the Messiah in her spare time?)- or the timing may be uncomfortable for us. Eli had failed as a high priest and as a father, but his perception of the supernatural was used by God for a great and noble purpose- to confirm the calling of Samuel, Israel's great prophet.

Come, Lord Jesus, come. Open the eyes of our hearts to know when You're here!

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so My Ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. Isa. 55 v.9

Praise God! There is a higher way. Are you up there on it? I can gauge my level of faith by the height of my dreams or thoughts. If I can see myself teaching overseas or holding the first copy of my next book, then the level of my faith is good.  When your "bottom drawer" dreams become top drawer, your faith level is pulling those things that be not into manifestation. But if all I can think about is how I will pay an unexpected bill or how I will fix a broken relationship, I'm not on that high Way.

Check yourself. Are you in faith about the issues you face? Faith is a rest that allows your dreams to grow even in the drought. You delight in the law of the Lord. You mediate in it day and night. Mediating in the Word will force you to stop thinking about where to go to get the oil changed. You will start thinking God's high thoughts (and you'll know where to go for the best deal.)

I love you!

New things I now declare; before they spring forth I will tell you of them. Isa. 42v.9

August is the 8th month on our Roman calendar, and though they are wonderful studies of numbers and months by others more gifted than I am, there are a few things I'd like to share about the turns & shifts this month brings.

"8" means new beginnings, which of course, means the end or death of some things. Let us expect resurrection power to raise up the new as our harvests break the ground open. For some the "head" of the full grain or mature grain will break open. We can also accelerate the process by putting to death the weeds or tares that are not helping our Garden of Life grow.

Yesterday I had a vision of a dear friend walking out of a fancy store in Uptown Park. She was herself but about 40 lbs. lighter. Her hair was longer. She was carrying a box of posh cupcakes - which to me meant, God was going to give her a balanced diet and not starve her. She was not skinny in my vision- just fit, toned ,curvey and perched on super high heels. I almost called my actual friend on the phone to share my vision. Well, I declare a new thing for you, my sister!

Father, Change me! Bless me to be an agent of change for those around me. Anoint me to pray for others in a new way this month.

Be strong and courageous...with him is the arm of the flesh; but with us is the Lord our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah. 2 Chron. 32 v.7

August is an especially good month to rest yourself upon the Word of God. This month is traditionally the gateway between the supremely difficult and the sublimely fruitful. For the Jews August is considered a tragic month and America's Gulf Coast has a recent history of some pretty dramatic, faith-building series of Augusts.  Yet September and October are considered the most fruitful time for soul-winning ( spiritual harvests) and for natural harvests as well.

The enemy's plan for you this month is take his last stand to destroy your harvest before it comes up. As Pastor John Osteen would shout to you from Glory: The devil's best shot is not enough to stop God's best! The Cross is the Eternal Proof.

My counsel for this month: PRAY, SAY, STAY

PRAY: pray your way through August and find ways to increase prayer. Pray with other people. We need each other this month.

SAY: Trash-talk the devil. Honey, Heaven and earth have ears. Tell them no hurricanes in Houston. No calamities in your house. Speak harvest and keep the pressure up for your harvest. The Word is producing for you.

STAY: stay connected, to God, to your church. To your circle of faith-friends. Tighten and strengthen those connections. You'll need help to bring in the harvest next month. Fight for unbroken fellowship during this intense time when offenses can easily arise.

Believing with you for your best August yet,

And Lot also, which went with Abraham, had flocks and herds and tents. And the land was not able to bear them, for their substance was great...And Abraham said,
"Lot, separate thyself, I pray thee, from me." Genesis 13v.5; ...forgetting what lies behind, straining for what lies ahead. Phil.3v.13
You can't take it with you. "It" means your (unfruitful) way of thinking, your old " it ain't working" way of working. Abraham's nephew was a dear relative, they had so much in common, so many sweet or tough memories shared. How long before we get God saying, "Separate from your old way. There is a new way."
As always with God, you must obey the first step (separate, leave the baggage, drop it,) before the land under your foot's path for the 2nd step appears.
And the Lord said unto to Abraham AFTER that Lot was separated from him:
Lift up now thine eyes from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward. For all the land that thou seetst, to thee will I give it...v.14-17

Will you keep silent at this time, Queen Esther? Now that you have prevailed before the King and your petition for deliverance for you and your nation from the evil Haman Hillary, will you decree, reign and use your authority? Not many days hence, about 30, the inauguration of the President God chose and we died for (died to pizza and blueberry pancakes, died to distractions to cry out, some died to fear of voting Republican for the 1st time!)) will be inaugurated.
Though the media is attempting to spread dishonor and rebellion, your intercession for  FULL MORDECAI HONOR will crown the event and will also REAP HONOR for you. The honor you intercede for in these 30 days to January 21 is the degree of honor that will (or won't) come to you in the New Year. God is teaching us to reign in this extraordinary season, this amazing Last Days Age. Can you honor a husband if God gave you one, a boss, a mother-in-law, can you honor the Office of the President or the Plan of God? Skimping on honor at this time, will skimp on the Glory of God!
When God's choice is  fully honored, - as Mordecai was - God's reward is FULLY given! God gave the people of the nation light ( a new dawn of hope) and gladness and joy and honor. The enemies of the Kingdom were destroyed. Esther 8v.16 Victory is indeed sweet!
....And the king said to Haman/Hillary, what shall be done to the man whom the king delights to honor?...Haman answered... Let royal apparel be brought which the king has worn (NOTE: THE ANOINTING)
And the horse which the king has ridden
(NOTE: same as David's instructions for Solomon's inaugurations for David's mule to be ridden) and a royal crown be set upon his head.
Let the apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king's most noble princes. Let him array the man (NOTE: divine order- Mordecai was not putting king's robe on himself- but nobility and established order robing him) whom the king delights to honor and conduct him on horseback through the open square of the city (NOTE: We need to pray for the city- the sea of people to OPEN to Trump and not resist him whom Our king has appointed.)Esther 6v.6-9
The King's instructions in Esther 6v.10
Do so to Mordecai the Jew (Make it happen).
Leave out nothing that you have spoken. (Don't mess this up.)
We need a full Mordecai inauguration. Esther (the church) has prevailed before the King.We won. We Arise, We Shine for Our light has come!
